MAI Capital Management has made another substantial acquisition, buying Halpern Financial, a registered investment advisory firm with $1.2 billion in assets under management. Halpern maintains offices in the Washington suburbs of Ashburn, Va., and Rockville, Md., and one of its advisors works part time in Naples, Fla., according to an MAI representative.
