Flag bearing hate symbol cut down from SR-99 bridge in Sacramento

(FOX40.COM) — A flag resembling Israel’s national flag bearing a symbol of hate speech was seen by hundreds of drivers along northbound State Route 99 in Sacramento on Monday morning.

The flag was hung sometime between 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. from the exterior fencing of the pedestrian bridge at 8th Ave. that crosses over the highway.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol held all lanes of traffic along SR-99 as officers cut down the flag from the overpass.

Monday marks the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attacks on Israel.
