Gwinnett authorities working to identify suspects in dog theft case

The Gwinnett County Police Department is working to identify two suspects that reportedly stole a dog from a Duluth apartment complex after posing as the dog’s owners. Authorities were called to the Sugarloaf Summit Apartments near Duluth Highway on Sept. 9, where the dog’s owner told officers their five-year old Shihpoo was stolen. The dog reportedly got loose from the owner’s ground floor patio. The dog then walked around the complex until a witness found the dog and notified the building through the Ring app.
