Friday afternoon’s North Albany traffic tie-up was worse than most. The underlying cause was the same as always: Too many cars. The proximate cause, according to several commenters on Facebook Friday, was that a stalled vehicle blocked one of the two lanes on the Ellsworth Street Bridge. By the time I got to that spot, the problem had been sorted out, and as far as I could tell the congestion eased.
