Planting Day: Canby Area Beautification looking for a little help

Another planting project through Canby Area Beautification and the Canby Fire District will be held Saturday, Oct. 26, from 10 a.m. to noon along Highway 99E.

And for this project, the group is hoping volunteers will come on out and lend a hand.

Financial support from a Canby city grant and DirectLink will allow for the planting of more Italian cypress trees and spring blooming bulbs along the highway, across from Canby Builders Supply.

“A big thanks to Robin Winston and his crew at C&R Reforestation for doing the weed trimming along Highway 99E periodically throughout the year, as well as Canby’s public works for watering during the summer,” said Cathy Rae Smith of Canby Area Beautification. “It is through combined efforts that our community continues enhancing. Nurture nature and beauty abounds.”
