FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Drivers are asked to avoid the area of mile marker 319 on I-69 as police and medics respond to a fatal motorcycle crash. A tire came off a semi traveling southbound on I-69, rolled across the median and entered the northbound lanes, Adam Griffith, a public information officer for the Allen County Sheriff’s Department, confirmed. It is unknown if the tire struck the motorcyclist, an adult female, or if she swerved to avoid it and crashed.
