A vision for transforming Vaughn Boulevard into a gateway corridor for southeast Fort Worth is within sight – but it won’t come into focus overnight. Community and city leaders hope to revitalize the Polytechnic Heights neighborhood, along with Fort Worth’s Historic Northside, through a three-year pilot program with Main Street America, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The program seeks to improve primarily Black and Latino communities by bringing new businesses and economic stability into historic commercial areas to counter years of disinvestment.
