Her mother collapsed and died working as an EMT when she was 7. Now, she’s following in her footsteps at the same North County fire district.

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) – A North St. Louis County woman is pursuing her dream of becoming a first responder, 13 years after her mother died in the line of duty. Sch’erica Wilson, 21, remembers hanging around the Northeast Ambulance and Fire Protection District as a child with her mom, Scherese Bishop.
