Hurricane Helene Donations Being Accepted in New Britain Township

NEW BRITAIN TOWNSHIP, PA—A local township is helping collect supplies to help victims of Hurricane Helene recover from one of the worst hurricanes in recent memory.

New Britain Township is using its headquarters on Park Avenue as a drop-off location for donations that will be driven and flown to Statesville, N.C. Donations are being accepted through Oct. 15, 2024.

Items being accepted include nonperishables and canned goods, diapers and wipes, baby formula, deodorant, soap, toothbrushes, tarps, warm blankets and other items. Checks made out to the NC Disaster Relief Fund can also be dropped off at the township building.

While the goods are being collected at a township building, the effort is being organized and shipped by members of the community.
