SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) – A teenager is facing charges for allegedly trying to take an officer’s gun away. The Shreveport Police Department says on Oct. 4 around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the Youth Empowerment Center on 9th Street about a 17-year-old who had committed multiple misdemeanors. When officers got there, they talked with John Jordan, 17, as they tried to get in touch with his guardian so he could be released into their custody.
