Serious Injuries in Manassas Pedestrian Crash; Driver Faces DUI Charges

A 31-year-old woman from Manassas, Marta Alicia Molina Morales, has been charged with maiming by DUI following a serious pedestrian accident that occurred early Sunday morning on Lomond Drive. According to police reports, Morales allegedly struck a 26-year-old man and collided with two parked cars around 1:35 a.m.

The victim, who initially left the scene after the incident, was later located by law enforcement officers. He suffered significant injuries to his upper body but was treated at a nearby hospital, where his injuries were classified as non-life threatening. The quick response of police ensured the victim received necessary medical attention promptly.

On Monday, Morales was arrested and charged with both driving under the influence and maiming while driving under the influence. Lt. Jonathan Perok of the Prince William County police provided updates on the case, emphasizing the serious nature of the charges. Morales is currently being held at the Prince William-Manassas regional jail on a secured bond set at $10,000.
