SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The South Dakota Department of Corrections revealed more details about the prison lockdown from last month, including photos of confiscated contraband in a news release.
The State Penitentiary and Jameson Annex were under lockdown from September 15 to October 2. The news release says the lockdown was a “proactive security measure that allowed staff to search for any items that posed a danger to staff or other offenders.”
