Heavy Showers & Thunderstorms Possible Across Parts of Florida

Heavy Rain & Wind May Impact Parts of Georgia & South Carolina

Good morning everyone. The Northeast continues to enjoy some very quiet weather amongst the chaos in the Southeast. Sunshine is in control with dry conditions until a reinforcing shot of cool air brings the chance of some clouds and showers tomorrow morning. We’ll briefly drop into the upper 50’s and 60’s, then milder air returns for Friday and Saturday.

We also have some colder conditions to talk about and subsequent frost across the northern tier. In the higher elevation valleys of Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine, we could see some heavy frost overnight as temps dip to near or just below freezing. There’s also the chance for some more frost across parts of Wisconsin and maybe the U.P. of Michigan for a repeat of last night. From the Upper Plains into the Northeast, this is just a preview, as we could see very cool temps with crisp overnights starting next Monday.

Our focus remains on the severe weather prospects across parts of Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina. We still have a long way to go on this, and we’re already seeing a new batch of heavy showers and thunderstorms across parts of Florida. We’ll watch that action become more widespread and intense again today, with locally strong winds, frequent lightning, hail, torrential rain, and the risk of some waterspouts.
