Oklahoma Sooners may finally get to use their secret weapon that the rest of the SEC doesn’t know about vs. Texas Longhorns

The Oklahoma Sooners are getting to a point where they will do whatever it takes to improve the offense. Going into the bye week, they were coming off of a win, their first SEC win ever. The Auburn Tigers aren’t great, but a win is a win. The offense was much better than it has been, so that’s a good sign of things to come. However, it still needs to be better.

If the offense isn’t better this week against the Texas Longhorns , the Sooners will get blown out. It’s that simple, and I think the Sooners’ entire fan base knows that too, they just won’t say it out loud. The injuries haven’t helped, and have only made it worse, but something has to change until those players get healthy.

So far, there has been some good news, news that Michael Hawkins will love regarding some of the injured receivers who could be back soon. But, even with that big what-if, the Sooners are still pulling out all of the stops against the Texas Longhorns. Well, they could be pulling them all out — no one really knows if they will end up doing it or not.

The Sooners played the Tigers with their top-five wide receivers out of the game. Big games from J.J. Hester and others really helped true freshman Michael Hawkins make plays early and late in the game. Now, they will have another weapon on Saturday, that is, if they finally decide to pull the trigger.
