As Hurricane Milton heads toward the Gulf Coast, Texas Governor Greg Abbott has directed the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to deploy emergency personnel and resources to Florida. With forecasts indicating potentially severe impacts, Texas swiftwater rescue boat squads and search and rescue personnel are being mobilized to assist in flood response operations. Meanwhile, in the wake of Hurricane Helene, additional resources have been sent to assist with the recovery in Tennessee, as announced by the Governor’s office.
