Woman keeps driving after being shot in leg in Panorama City

A woman who was shot in the leg while in her car didn’t let the bullet stop her from driving away late Monday night.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, officers were first dispatched to the 8700 block of Noble Avenue in Panorama City at 11:10 p.m. and upon arriving, located a female victim who said she was shot in the leg.

“The victim told officers she was in her vehicle when a male suspect fired six gunshot rounds towards her car,” an LAPD spokesperson confirmed to KTLA. “One of the bullets struck the victim in the leg…[she] fled the scene in her vehicle and then called police.”

It was not immediately clear if the gunman approached her vehicle on foot or if the incident was a car-to-car shooting.

Video from the scene shows the woman’s vehicle, a black BMW sedan, with bullet holes in the front windows.

The area was temporarily blocked off due to the investigation but cleared by approximately 3 a.m. Tuesday.
