AKRON, Ohio – Love is in the air!. Akron Mayor Shammas Malik tied the knot with Alice Duey over the weekend along a bend in the Cuyahoga River. Mayor Malik’s wedding on Saturday, Oct.5, came after he proposed to Duey during a trip to Paris, France, earlier this year.
