East Tennessee Foundation raises $1.2 million, looks to strategic plan to award funds

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – Tuesday afternoon, the money received into the East Tennessee Foundations Neighbor to Neighbor Disaster Relief Fund totaled nearly $1.2 million. The fund was created in 2011 for flooding then, and has opened three times since: the Gatlinburg Wildfires, the COVID-19 pandemic, and now flooding from Hurricane Helene.
