Man sentenced to prison for burglary spree in eastern Nebraska

MEAD, Neb. (WOWT) – A man arrested earlier this year for carrying out several burglaries around eastern Nebraska learned his sentence Monday. Patrick Newcomer, 37, of rural Mead, was sentenced to 8-10 years in prison on two counts of burglary and two counts of prohibited possession of a firearm. As part of his plea deal, 11 other charges were dropped.
