A 24,000+ acre wildfire is burning this afternoon in north central Nevada, threatening the small town of Midas, Nevada. The Castle Ridge Fire was initially reported on October 6 and has burned actively since. The Bureau of Land Management is currently working the fire with 145 personnel, including two helicopters.
