Rochester police search for suspect after Orange Street shooting

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — A Rochester man was rushed into surgery Tuesday after a shooting on Orange Street in Rochester.

According to the Rochester Police Department, a 33-year-old man and a known suspect were arguing around 3:30 p.m. when the 33-year-old was shot at least once. He was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital and sent into surgery for what police said were not life-threatening injuries.

The suspect was not found. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.

Roadways in the area were closed for several hours, but have since reopened.
