MPD: Suspect steals $20k in cash, merchandise from gas station

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis Police are looking for a man they say stole over $20,000 worth of cash and merchandise from a Parkway Village gas station last month.

On September 27 at 3:36 a.m., officers responded to a burglary at a BP Gas Station on Perkins Road.

The store was broken into by a man with a white shirt wrapped around his head and wearing an orange shirt. Entry was gained after the man broke the front window.

Police say he took over $20,000 in cash and merchandise.

He fled the scene in a Chevrolet Malibu with a TN temporary tag and a yellow rope holding the trunk closed.

Police say that the vehicle has been located but the suspect has not.
