Amarillo resident killed in wreck in Leflore County Tuesday

LEFLORE COUNTY, Okla. (KAMR/KCIT) — The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Regional Communications Center reported that an Amarillo resident was killed in a wreck in Leflore County in Oklahoma.

According to the OHP, on Tuesday, a 2023 Harley Davidson Motorcycle was going west on OK-1 when the motorcycle went left of the center and hit a 2016 BMW Motorcycle head-on.

The driver of the BMW, identified as Brian Rhodes, 51, of Amarillo, was airlifted to the hospital where they were pronounced dead. The driver of the Harley Davidson was airlifted to the hospital and is in critical condition.

The crash is under investigation by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
