Springfield man arrested for child sex crimes

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — A Springfield man has been arrested for sex crimes involving a minor.

According to court documents, on Oct. 6, Brayanne Escobar Guarnizo was arrested on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor.

On Sept. 22, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence about a sex offense. The complainants told the deputy their 12-year-old daughter had sex with a 28-year-old man, Guarnizo, and was pregnant.

GCSO obtained explicit photos and messages allegedly between the victim and Guarnizo. An audio file was found on the victim’s phone with a message saying in Spanish, “Hey mamacita, you have me bad. I’m going to eat you with kisses. I’m not interested in anyone else but you. I want to make love to you.”

One message chain involved Guarnizo allegedly asking the victim for photos and videos of her genitals.

The victim’s family told GCSO they knew Guarnizo when they lived in Colombia and assisted him in coming to the U.S. The family was convinced to move from New Jersey to Springfield to live with Guarnizo.
