Man biking across the country makes stop at Ronald McDonald House in Hershey

(WHTM) — A 4,600-mile fundraising bike ride stopped in the Midstate Tuesday.

Jeff Bekos arrived at the Ronald McDonald House in Hershey on two wheels.

This is part of a fundraiser for the organization, which took care of his family for almost a year. When his now-grown daughter Hailey was fighting for her life.

“And they provide all of the necessities of your daily living,” Bekos said. “So you can really focus on your child who’s fighting for their lives, in our case, at the hospital. So we didn’t have to worry about any of that other stuff. So it’s just an amazing organization that we’re just really grateful for.”
