Covenant Health recieves $4.1 million to expand pediatric mental health services

Covenant Children’s received a $4.1 million grant from the state to construct a new facility to expand its pediatric mental health service.

According to a news release, Covenant Health will construct a new, six-bed inpatient unit, expanding the services of its current Relational Health Center.

“Covenant Health remains at the forefront of pediatric mental health care in the region,” said State Sen. Charles Perry. “Offering vital services to our community’s most vulnerable children. The support provided through Senate Bill 30 enables them to expand their continuum of care, including a six-bed pediatric facility dedicated to treating children in crisis. This $4.1 million grant bridges a crucial gap, empowering us to meet these children where they are and guide them towards becoming whole and healthy adults.”
