MASSILLON – A boost in space and medical service were touted Tuesday during the introduction of a new home for Lifecare Family Health and Dental Center on the city’s northeast side.
The new facility is located directly next door to Lifecare’s former locale, both of which are on the western section of the former Affinity Medical Center campus . The new health center is at 830 Amherst Road NE, while the old building sits at 820 Amherst Road.
The move nearly doubles Lifecare health’s amount of space to about 13,000 square-feet, which aims to expand the company’s medical, behavioral health and dental services, according to Chief Executive Officer Eric Niemeyer.
“We’ll roughly be able to double our capacity to serve (our patients),” said Niemeyer, noting that Lifecare’s first day of operation at the new facility is Wednesday. “The newer building is also a fresher look for us.”
Lifecare agreed to an eight-year lease at its new building, said Niemeyer, noting that the business has no affiliation with the owner of the Affinity campus other than a tenant-landlord relationship.
