Birmingham area homes spent less time on the market and were typically sold below their list price between July and August of this year. In those two months, Jefferson and Shelby County homes were sold at least three weeks faster (29 days on market instead of 7) and at around $4,000 below their original median listing price on average, according to local realtor Marshall Malone, referencing data from the MLS national real estate portal.
