Predators Announce Juuse Saros is Day-to-Day with a Lower Body Injury

The Nashville Predators announced Wednesday morning that goaltender Juuse Saros is day-to-day with a lower body injury. The official announcement came after Saros did not participate in Tuesday’s practice and was a limited participant in Wednesday’s. The team had previously said that Tuesday was just a “maintenance day” for Saros.

The fact that Saros dressed for Wednesday’s practice and spent time on the ice stretching and working individually with goaltending coach Ben Vanderklok appears to indicate that the injury isn’t incredibly serious; still, head coach Andrew Brunette said Wednesday that he would wait to see how things are Thursday before making a decision on who will be Nashville’s Opening Night starter in net against the Dallas Stars.
