Pumpkin Patch, McIntosh festival and more: Fun things to do this weekend in Ocala/Marion

Ocala Pumpkin Patch 2024

This annual tradition kicks off with a grand opening from 4-8 p.m. Oct. 11 at Ocala First United Methodist Church, 126 E. Silver Springs Blvd., Ocala. The grand opening ceremony will have vendors and activities. After the grand opening the Ocala Pumpkin Patch will be open Mondays through Fridays, 4-8 p.m.; Saturdays from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.; and Sundays from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. The patch will be open through Oct. 31. Special events include:

  • A Taste of Fall: 1-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, with catering from Casella
  • Gold Cart Drive In: 5-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, showing “Muppets Haunted Mansion.” Free popcorn; Big City Pizza; Grumpy’s Ice Cream
  • Pumpkin Pie Night: 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 18. Come get a complementary slice.
  • Potluck in the Patch: 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27. Fried chicken and drinks provided; sign up to bring sides and desserts at https://www.perfectpotluck.com/EWJQ7915

McIntosh 1890s Festival

The festival will be 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Oct. 12 in McIntosh, midway between Ocala and Gainesville on U.S. 441. Free admission. Parking in privately owned residential and not-for-profit church and school lots. Food vendors, arts and crafts, entertainment and more. Sponsored by Friends of McIntosh.
