Frozen yogurt chain opens first East Coast location in Fayetteville

A self-serve frozen yogurt chain opened what appears to be its first East Coast location last month in Fayetteville.

Cuppa Yo Frozen Yogurt opened Sept. 14 in Freedom Town Center , 2844 Freedom Parkway, Suite 3.

Cuppa Yo opened its first location in 2010 in Bend, Oregon, and now has 12 U.S. locations , seven of which are in Oregon, according to the chain’s website . It also has franchises in California, Arizona, Kansas and Texas, and now Fayetteville.

What’s on the menu?

Cuppa Yo offers non-fat, low-fat, low-carb, sorbet, gelato, Dole soft serve, plant-based and no-sugar-added self-serve frozen yogurt, with a total of 51 toppings to choose from, including fresh fruit, gummy bears, sprinkles, chocolate chips and boba.

Origin story

Franchise owner Jim Cooney chose to open the franchise in Fayetteville after living in the area for 11 years. He said that after extensive research and outreach to various franchises, Cuppa Yo was the first to respond and provided the most support throughout the process.
