Lemieux is dealing with an undisclosed injury and is “going to be out a while,” coach Rod Brind’Amour told Cory Lavalette of the North State Journal on Wednesday. Lemieux recorded three goals, five points, 64 PIM and 71 hits in 32 regular-season games in 2023-24. He’s not always in the lineup when he’s healthy, but his absence does increase the chances of Jackson Blake, who was called up from AHL Chicago on Tuesday, seeing some work on the fourth line.
