Kia driver arrested for shooting semi truck on I-40, Arkansas troopers say

This week, the Arkansas State Police (ASP) arrested a man who allegedly fired on a moving semi truck in North Little Rock.

Shortly before 3 p.m. on October 7, ASP responded to I-40 westbound at mile marker 156 in North Little Rock for a reported shooting.

The shooting victim was a 50 year old tractor trailer driver from Arizona who had suffered minor injuries. The victim’s tractor trailer had a shattered window. ASP investigators recovered a projectile lodged in the closet area of the cab of the truck.

After reviewing dash cam video, troopers identified a a maroon 2017 Kia Forte as the suspect vehicle.

The Kia was located at around 5:25 p.m. at an apartment complex in Jacksonville, Arkansas.

ASP executed a search warrant and arrested, Al’Khaliq Rogers, 21.

When investigators searched the apartment, they found three firearms, including one stolen out of Oklahoma, along with illegal marijuana, multiple drum magazines for a rifle and pistols, and a bulletproof vest.
