The forecast promises “Sunny, with a high near 93” for today, and a tranquil “Calm wind becoming northeast around 5 mph.” As the mercury rises, so too does the wildfire risk in the region-a peril that’s exacerbated by the prolonged dry conditions and temperatures that are roughly 10° warmer than average for this time of year.
