A new wedding and event space is under construction in downtown St. Paul

A new luxury wedding venue, Le Veneré, is being developed in downtown St. Paul by A’Bulae.

Le Veneré will reside at the former site of the 413 on Wacouta, a wedding and event center downtown. The company says the “venerated” new 200-capacity site will combine the feel of a 1920s speakeasy with “contemporary elegance.”

While “speakeasy” gets thrown around frequently in the events and bar world to evoke a time period rather than actual speakeasies, the company says Le Veneré will have hidden speakeasy-style elements to augment Art Deco design touches.

“La Veneré represents our vision to not only preserve the historical charm of the former 413 on Wacouta, but also to elevate it into something truly special for the wedding and events industry,” says Tim George, CEO of A’bulae.

Demolition began in September with an eye toward a May 2025 opening.
