Upstate car wash to raise funds after Helene with annual Halloween event

GREER, S.C. (WSPA) — An Upstate car wash is hosting its annual haunted car wash where a portion of proceeds will support those impacted by Hurricane Helene.

Whatta Wash at 2788 South Highway 14 in Greer announced that its Haunted Car Wash returns on Friday, October 11. The cost to participate is $30 per carload which includes the company’s top wash option.

The company said a portion of its proceeds will be donated to help support anyone locally impacted by Helene.

The Haunted Car Wash will occur during the following dates:

  • October 11 & 12
  • October 18 & 19
  • October 25 & 26

Gates open at 6 p.m. Guests must be in line by 10 p.m. to participate.

Whatta Wash said the business is also collecting non-perishable food items, water, household supplies and diapers for disaster relief the entire month of October.
