Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and his wife Savannah recently opened up about a scary moment in their lives when their son Bronny suffered a cardiac arrest during basketball practice in July 2023.
The heartfelt discussion took place in Netflix’s new docuseries “Starting 5,” where the couple shared their experiences and feelings about the incident and its aftermath.
In the premiere episode , a tearful Savannah expressed her gratitude for the support their family received, saying, “I think at the end of the day, it was just about us supporting each other and just being super grateful for the outcome.”
The trailer also featured LeBron James visiting the University of Southern California (USC) with his mother, Gloria James. They met Erin, a member of the university’s medical staff, who played a crucial role when Bronny collapsed.
“Shout out to the man above,” LeBron said.
The Lakers star continued to praise the medical team, stating, “They are the reason Bronny is alive now and smiling and thriving and doing what any 19-year-old should be doing, and that’s living out their dream.”
