Staying cool and dry through Friday

EVENING: Mostly sunny, temps in the 60s.

TONIGHT: Clear and cool. Low 43.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny, comfortably cool. High 62.

Wrapping up another pleasant fall day across the Midstate with clear skies heading into this evening. Temperatures tonight will be several degrees colder with many areas dropping into the lower 40s by Thursday morning.

Thursday and Friday will remain quiet and dry with plenty of sunshine. A milder weekend on tap with afternoon highs in the 70s ahead of an approaching cold front. This front could bring a passing shower late Sunday or Sunday night, but more importantly, provide another week of cool and dry weather for much of the state.

The latest on Hurricane Milton is a category 3 with wind speeds of 120mph. Milton will be making landfall before midnight with some areas preparing for a storm surge over 10 feet.
