WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CBS12) – Tens of thousands of people lost power Wednesday evening as severe weather swept through South Florida ahead of Hurricane Milton’s arrival. In Indian River County alone, more than 25,000 customers were without electricity at 7 p.m., according to the Florida Power & Light outage map. That is the highest number for any county the utility serves.
