Woman who broke into Madison home found nearby wearing clothes she allegedly stole

MADISON, Wis. — Madison police arrested a woman Monday night who they said broke into a home on the city’s north side.

Officers were called to the 500 block of Blackbird Lane just after 11:20 p.m. after a man reported seeing a woman breaking into his home while he was monitoring his in-home security camera.

Police said the woman was found nearby wearing the clothes she allegedly stole from the home. She was taken to a nearby hospital.

She faces charges of burglary and possession of methamphetamine. An investigation is ongoing.
