Reconstruction efforts continue in the western Carolinas with Duke Energy leading the way, particularly in the wake of the intense aftermath of Hurricane Helene. In a recent release from Duke Energy they highlighted the progress made in restoring power to upstate South Carolina and much of western North Carolina but acknowledged that the path to full restoration for all residents remains long and challenging.
