Man accused of hitting 2 pedestrians, 2 officers while fleeing from police in western suburbs arrested

BERWYN, Ill. — Authorities say a man who allegedly struck four people, including two officers, during a police chase in the western suburbs last month is now facing felony charges.

Berwyn police said Terrance Whitley is facing a handful of felony charges in connection with the incident, including one count of failure to remain at the scene of a personal injury or fatal motor vehicle accident, two counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer and two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon by a felon.

Officers said the charges were handed down after Whitley was identified as the driver allegedly involved in a car chase that left several people injured over a month earlier.
