PAWS Chicago returning from Helene rescue mission

CHICAGO — PAWS Chicago is returning to the area Thursday afternoon after rescuing dogs facing the devastation of Hurricane Helene.

Volunteers with PAWS helped rescue over 20 dogs and puppies from the Appalachian Highland Humane Society in Johnson City, Tennessee.

PAWS said they are preparing to answer calls from shelters affected by Hurricane Milton as well.
