TWRA Allocates $250,000 in Grants for Bear-Resistant Trash Solutions in Tennessee

Efforts are ramping up in Tennessee to curb the growing issue of human-bear encounters, especially regarding access to trash. The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) is offering a hefty sum-in the form of grants-to help in purchasing bear-resistant garbage containers. According to WATE, there’s $250,000 available for local governments, communities, and businesses to buy these animal-proof trash solutions.
