2 charged in connection with armed carjacking at South Nashville apartment complex

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Authorities say two suspects have been arrested for their connection to an armed carjacking that took place Wednesday night at an apartment complex in South Nashville.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) said officers were sent to the 280 block of Hickory Trace Drive at approximately 8:17 p.m. to respond to reports about a robbery.

According to an arrest report, the victims told police that they were sitting in a 2016 Nissan Altima in front of their apartment when three men approached the vehicle. Two of the suspects reportedly banged on the car’s windows with handguns and demanded that the victims get out.

After getting out of the car, the victims said they were each searched by the suspects and the keys to the Nissan were taken. An arrest report states the suspects fled the complex in the Nissan towards Nolensville Pike.

Detectives said they received tracking information for the Nissan and found it at approximately 8:45 p.m. in the 500 block of Foothill Drive, where it was then followed to the 3800 block of Dickerson Pike.
