On Sunday, Oct. 6, the Norfolk Chapter 122 of the Order of American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association, or AHEPA, hosted an emergency relief drive from the residents of Asheville, N.C.

With the community’s support, they raised more than $4,000 and received supplies from more than 50 people.

The video below shows the prayer the organization said before delivering the donated goods to North Carolina.

The Cathedral’s Sunday school children also created cards of support for the Asheville community. They had to upgrade from a 20ft to a 26ft U-Haul truck to accommodate the large volume of supplies that arrived in Asheville on Sunday evening.

More video from the event shows a woman going through the supplies that had been donated, expressing sincere gratitude to those who contributed.
