The second round of Mother Lode League play didn’t begin as the Calaveras High School volleyball team had hoped. In a tightly contested five-set match, the Red Hawks faced the Linden Lions but were unable to close out the game, suffering a tough road loss. Calaveras fell to Linden 25-13, 20-25, 16-25, 25-17, 15-7 on Tuesday night in Linden.
