APD to provide details on fatal dog attack that left one man dead Wednesday

ALBANY, NY (WRGB) – Police are investigating a fatal dog attack in Albany. James Provost, of Schenectady, has been identified as the victim. According to police, shortly before 6 P.M. Wednesday evening, officers responded to the 500 block of Central Avenue after reports that a man was attacked by several dogs. They witnessed the dogs attacking the man when they arrived. One of the officers fired a weapon in an attempt to stop the attack, striking at least one dog.
