KANSAS CITY-Authorities are working to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a church south of Kansas City. Just after 6a.m. Wednesday, the Bates County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call on a fire at the Methodist Church located at the intersection of Kentucky Street and Main Street in Adrian, Missouri, approximately 50 miles south of Kansas City and 45 minutes east of Paola, Kansas.
