HPD: Shots fired call ends with drug bust

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. ( WHNT ) — The Huntsville Police Department arrested a man they say led them on a police chase ending in a drug bust Thursday.

HPD said Tylan Moore is charged with drug trafficking, possession of a synthetic narcotic, possession of methamphetamine and attempting to elude an officer.

The department said the situation began when they responded to a shots-fired call with a description of a suspected vehicle at Holmes Avenue and Woodson Street. Upon arrival, several more witnesses confirmed information about the suspect vehicle and shots being fired.

HPD said they couldn’t find a victim, but the vehicle was found at Clinton Avenune and Woodson Street. Officers attempted to pull the car over as it entered northbound Memorial Parkway, but HPD said the driver did not stop and a chase began.

The chase ended at the Moores Mill Kroger where officers arrested Moore. HPD said they found drugs and a weapon in his possession.
